Prime Minister May is cooking up ways to end the perks enjoyed by pensioners by ending the so called triple lock on pension increases. This may result in the possible loss of the grey vote but a Tory spokesman, Cecil Shaftem, said, “As the grey vote ages it is dying out so it probably does not matter. The bigger problem is old folk taking up too many hospital beds. They simply aren’t dying quickly enough.”
When I said that was a terrible thing to say and did he have any other way of finding a solution Mr Shaftem said, “We Tories always have a solution, a final solution.”
I must at this point apologise, dear reader, as I could not bear to stand and listen to Mr Shaftem’s appalling comments any longer. I left.
